Journal 5: Basic Design

The four basic principles of design are alignment, proximity, repetition, and contrast. The article states that the best way to align a web page is to make sure everything is all in the same direction. If some of the text is centered the entire page should be centered. If some of it is aligned to the left then the whole page should be aligned to the left. Alignment is what makes the page organized and appear professional. Proximity is the relationships between items.
